Lockout/Tagout
This half-day training course will inform participants of the pertinent legislative requirements for lockout/tagout and how to use lockout/tagout systems in their own workplaces. The course is geared to the latest legislation and can be tailored to the specific needs of the client.
This training is intended to provide the participants with an understanding for zero-energy-state lockout and tagout systems and equipment. Legislation dictates that when machinery is shut down for servicing, repairs, tests or adjustments, no worker shall carry out work on the machinery until it has been locked out and tagged. Workers must also remove and/or render safe any hazards, or otherwise render the machine inoperative in a manner that will prevent its accidental reactivation and will provide for equal or greater protection. This course will instruct participants on how to comply with these regulations.
