Gas Detection

This course offers a practical approach to using gas detection equipment. Covered are explosive ranges, toxic atmospheres and oxygen levels. Also included is instruction in proper bump test procedures and practical exercises.

The objectives and outcomes for this course are:

  • To prevent injuries, fatalities and property damage due to exposure to dangerous substances in industrial workplaces
  • To give an understanding of the characteristics of liquids, gases and vapors classified as immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH)
  • To give participants the basic knowledge and skill to protect themselves and others from exposure to dangerous substances

Participation:             Maximum dependent upon classroom space
Certification:              HSE certificate
Expiry:                         3 years
